Sunny Deol shares his thoughts on box office clash between Gadar 2 and OMG 2: When Gadar was releasing, people were siding with Lagaan | Hindi Movie News

It is going to be a big clash at the box office as Sunny Deol‘s Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 are releasing on the same day, August 11. In a new interview, Sunny shared his views on the box office clash while recalling how Gadar turned out to be one of the highest grossing films when it clashed with Aamir Khan’s Oscar nominated film Lagaan.

When Sunny was asked about the clash, Sunny told Aaj Tak that he doesn’t know what will happen and how the two films will perform at the box office.

He admitted that there was a competition when Gadar was releasing with Lagaan and people were siding with Lagaan at that time. However, he didn’t think much about it and he was like, ‘we’ll see whatever happens’.After the release, Sunny noticed that Gadar did phenomenal business as compared to Lagaan. However, he said that he doesn’t see the comparison that way and believed that Lagaan was a good film. He also confessed, “I’ve not seen Lagaan but it was a good film, very good film.”
Meanwhile, Gadar 2 has already sold over 30000 tickets for day 1 in the advance booking. The numbers are quite huge and it is being said that the film might see a big opening similar to that of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. OMG 2, on the other hand, has also shown positive response in the advance booking. However, going by the ticket sale, Gadar 2 is definitely ahead of OMG 2 at this moment.
